FastlegeVakten - Immediate notification, or waiting lists?
FastlegeVakten (fastlege.endors.no) is a service to warn users as soon as they can change from their current regular doctor to a new favorite doctor.
A prototype system for student-experiments is available here:

New topics to study includes:
- Scalability: Can this system be used concurrently by all the 500.000 people who want to change their "Fastlege" every year?
- Software Engineering: How can this system be integrated (better) with collaborating or competing systems like "LegeListen", "DinLege", etc.
- Performace: What is the performance level of this system?
- Architechture: Should the comma-separated-values (csv) files be replaced with a DataBase?
- Server-side vs. Client-side processing? Smartphones, capacity (CPU, battery), datausage (always online), ...
- Commerciability: How much Is the government or the citicens interested in paying for such services?
- Usability: How happy are the users of this system? Are there better systems around?
- Make an algorithm to predict the waiting time for a specific doctor or office to become available?
- How can this system be extended to kindergardens and other limited services?
