About Marine system simulator

The Marine Systems Simulator (MSS) is a Matlab/Simulink library and simulator for marine systems. It includes models for ships, underwater vehicles, and floating structures. The library also contains guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) blocks for real-time simulation.

How to download and install Marine system simulator

Getting started with Marine system simulator

  1. After downloading the library unzip it to your matlab directory. Default location is C:\Program Files\matlab\R2017a. Add the \MSS folder.
  2. Open matlab, and under the home menu choose "set path" → "add with subfolders" and select the new \MSS folder.
  3. Save the "set path" window and close.
  4. Type "Help MSS" in the console to get a light explanation to the content of the library
