    Conferences:

    Basic principle for the MASSIVE/SmallSat program should be:

    1. High exposure, with depth where exposure to either the Oceanographic or Robotics communities have a large presence.
      1. Note ocean science conferences are NOT peer-reviewed. While high exposure (e.g. ASLO Ocean Sciences), the impact factor esp. for Phd students is minimal.
    2. Must be peer-reviewed with some minor exceptions where there is high impact (one example is https://auv2018.lsts.pt which in the past was not peer-reviewed)
    3. While networking is useful, we should be careful where we spend our Nok's. ROI needs to be carefully factored.
