What do we mean by 'advanced methods'? The main principle here is that we are not trying to tell science teachers what to do, but giving them (directly or indirectly) the opportunity to try new things. Not only the opportunity, but the tools, the time and the space that they need to move forward.  When we use terms like 'training packages', we make this process sound rather dull, but we want to do more interesting things, involving dialogue with and between teachers.

In one sense, S-TEAM is simply about putting the right people together in the same room and letting them talk.  In another sense, there needs to be a structure for 'talk' which informs, inspires and sustains the creative process.
