The course concerns management of reliability, availability, maintenance, and safety (RAMS) in relation to product design and development. Requirements and methods for addressing and accounting for RAMS in different phases of new product development are covered. Key topics are: Methods and standards for establishment of RAMS requirements (with focus on the Machinery Directive), reliability design, reliability allocation, reliability testing, reliability growth, statistical process control, warranty policies and so on.
