There is an increasing use of interior planted areas and an attempt to bring nature inside especially with the rise of biophilic design. The effect on acoustics should be considered in planning stage and in simulations.
Kort beskrivelse av oppgaven:
The study will analyse the effect of vegetation and study different solutions from acoustics perspective. The absorption due to vegetation will be researched along with how vegetation can introduce sound elements to the indoor soundscape. It will take the vegetation of the atrium area of Teknosallen as a case study. Experimental stage will include field measurements and simulation.
