Description: Flood power plants is a promising solution in flood prone rivers running through urban areas. The flood power plant is basically a flood bypass tunnel, where a hydropower plant is installed in addition. The MSc-project will explore two different case-studies and investigate the optimum design of these. The work will be conducted as a desk study and with 1D hydraulic transient simulations in the freeware LVTrans.
