Ice ridges are key features both in ice engineering (give high loads on structures) and geophysics (Constitute large fraction of the total ice volume). With ICESat-2 the possibility of finding individual ice ridges from satellites have become possible. At the same time several existing underwater rigs (Upward Looking Sonars) are installed and produce local data about ridges seen from below. A project and master thesis could analyse data from satellites and compare with existing data from underwater rigs. Collaboration with DTU-Space is possible.
