The current camera idea

In the final prototype, a camera will be mounted for a constant surveillance and overview of the prostate milling process. As the camera will be mounted inside the freezer, over a prolonged period of time, there are certain requirements the camera should meet.

To accurately find the camera requirements we must calculate the distance from the camera to the prostate slice, and the size of the prostate slice, and then see how big angle we need.

Requirements

The camera must:

  • Be able to withstand cold temperatures of approx -30 degrees C for prolonged periods of time
  • Have a high enough resolution to get a good overview of the work area (bed)

The camera should:

  • Be easy to connect to a pc via USB
