Action items
- Unknown User (joaoff) - will it be possible to record wind directions/intensity and sun intensity during testing?
- Can we measure waves?
- Unknown User (joaoff) and Jan Otto must make test objectives
- Unknown User (joaoff) must make "Minimum Viable Product" and "Maximum Viable Product" description
- Ask Lise/NEO about how they calibrate their cameras
- Determine the types of calibrations we need
- Harald and Unknown User (joaoff) will analyze the HICO data
- Evelyn Honoré-Livermore will ask at IES and ISB to figure out if anyone knows deconvolution
Discussion
- Can we see the complicated Mie scattering spectra from the HICO images?
- If we can correct for it, can we get information on particle size distribution
- What are the causes of photons?
- How can we model them?
- is there literature for it?
- Who can search for it? Unknown User (sivertba) and Ingunn
- On-board processing - flow suggestion from Unknown User (joaoff)
- Set of models where HICO will be used as a proxy and then combined with results from drone test
- Fast classification of the images
- Score the images and make decision
- Rest of the processing to be done on ground
- Can we see/detect the difference between water and water vapor?
- Can we get good information even without high SNR? Are the signatures different enough?
Roadmap
Ultimate goal is to reach TRL9: Quantitative measurement og algae turbidity (copepods, temperature, salinity, waves, clouds, aerosols, atmosphere, sensor status)
Overview of HSI camera
Testing and verification
- Test 1: Hopavågen tidal basin X 2
- In-situ imaging
- In-site measurmenet
- Estimate the size of the pixels
- The drone will be flying at 10-15 meters height
- If there are ripples in the water, fly really close to them so that neighboring pixels have the same ripple
- Test 2: Bridge test
- Have a camera mounted over time at a bridge
- Have planks at different depths with RGB
- Look at what we see
- Can we measure the same things in different conditions?
- Test 3: Ladder test
- Use different shades of grey to make reference
- Prepare test by doing ground truth (without water)
- And then put them in water
- Test 4: Across the fjord
- Image across fjord
- Preferable over time
