Nordic MASTER OF sustainable urban transitions
ABOUT THE STUDY PROGRAMME
Processes of urban planning, design,
transition and management are highly
complex. The Nordic double degree
Master`s Programme in Sustainable
Urban Transitions combines the
perspective of the five leading technical
universities in Denmark, Finland, Nor-
way and Sweden and provides integrated
knowledge development and capacity in
the field sustainable urban transitions.
This is achieved through inter-/ transdi-
siplinary competence building developing
capacities to a) understand principles of
human settlements, b) engage in new
and shared knowledge production and
problem-solving and c) develop improved
practices contributing to positive urban
change. The programme thus offers one
of the most comprehensive and relevant
master programmes in the urban
development topic area.
There are five study tracks in the Nordic
Five Tech Sustainable Urban Transitions
Master's: Your area of interest and your
background will determine which study
track you follow and which universities
you will attend. In the double degree
programme students study one year at
two different universities following a year
one university, 1st and 2nd semesters
and year two university, 3rd and the
thesis semesters.
