ERASMUS MUNDUS MASTER IN COASTAL AND MARINE ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT
AbOUT THE STUDy PROGRAMME
This is a multiple degree programme
jointly run by five European Universities:
w Norwegian University of Science and
Technology (Trondheim) (Coordina-
tor) NO
w Universitat Politècnica de
Catalunya(Barcelona) ES

w University of Southampton UK
The CoMEM programme is designed to
train students within a broad curriculum
that will allow them to contribute to
solving diverse challenges in the field
of coastal and marine engineering and
management. This requires a strong
consortium with noted educational
experience and proven research records
in the field. The partner institutions offer
this experience. In addition, all partners
have long-standing links with private
firms, public administrations and other
institutes in the field of research and
education, which will be available for
students. These strong links between
education, research and other partners
is a guarantee for keeping the content
of the programme relevant and upda-
ted. The programme provides a broad
European education that has global
relevance. This includes the essential
elements in Coastal and Marine Enginee-
ring and Management, which represent
the geographic and physical diversity of
coastal and marine systems from north
to south within Europe. The courses are
taught within a framework of sustainabi-
lity and environmental concerns and put
into a context of societal, ethical and long
term issues and responsibilities.
