Plan of construction with upper platform
BENCHES AND INFORMATION
W
hile working on the floor detailing we were designing the
benches, both on the platform and below on the first floor. The
idea was to use the existing main constructive elements, and
have the floorboards sort of becoming the bench.
The idea behind the information desk was the same as for the
benches. A sheet of plywood is resting on the glue lam pieces
as shown in the illustration on the right. Here there could be
information about the different birds that can be seen in the
area. On top is a sheet of plexi glass to protect it from the
weather.
The materials used for the benches and information shelf
are thought to be materials that are used in the rest of the
structure. We mainly needed shorter pieces of material, and the
idea was that we could use spare parts from cutting floorboards,
pillars and beams to assemble the benches and information
shelves
