The front facade
THE FRONT
The cladding on the facades has two different spacings. The
parts where the cladding is less than 75 cm from a platform
or the ground the spacing between the slats are 2 cm, due to
building regulations. All the other slats are mounted with a
spacing of 4 cm. The parts where the visitor are given the option
to look out towards the lake, all or every other slat is removed.
In the facade you can clearly see the different layers of spacing.
These to different spacings was the result of an investigation in
phase two of the project, concerning transparency, water runoff,
and aesthetics.
