About The Role

We are hiring a Junior Venture Analyst intern to join the Marble team and support the market and commercial exploration of key opportunity areas in climate tech.

You will work directly with Partners, senior team members, and brilliant founders on a mission to turn the tide on the climate crisis. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with some of the brightest and most mission driven individuals you’ll meet!

You will be immersed into the worlds of climate and deep tech venture creation. Expect direct exposure to the many aspects of running a climate tech studio: opportunity thesis development, talent sourcing, and founder support (especially on the market and funding side).

Location: HQ in Paris.

Language: English fluency required. French fluency is a strong bonus.

Period: 6 month internship starting Mid-March 2025.

Responsibilities

The Junior Venture Analyst internships is focused on four main pillars:

  • Market research and validation. Gathering key market insights for our team and founders, across industry data, market forecasts, competition maps, policy drivers, etc.
  • Customer development. Supporting the co-ordination of our structured outreach campaigns to connect with top experts in the field and gather insights through interviews.
  • Content development. Producing memos, presentations, spreadsheet models, and other resources to summarise your research, or support a particular founder.
  • Founder and team support. Go above and beyond to support the Marble founders and team across their commercial and market needs, or any other special project.

Requirements

The Junior Venture Analyst internship is a unique opportunity for a entrepreneurial student from a top school with passion for climate tech, startups, and venture programmes:

  • You are studying for a Masters degree or an MBA from a top business or engineering school, with ideally a specialisation in entrepreneurship, venture capital, or climate tech.
  • You already had exposure (e.g. internship, school project, etc) in a climate-related startup environment, such as venture backed startup, studio, accelerator, venture fund, or you have exposure to the consulting industry where you have worked on market diligence and commercial scale-up projects for clients.
  • You are fluent in English (French is preferred but not mandatory).

Your ability to learn on the job is more important than ticking every single box. However we would especially love to hear from you if this sounds like you:

  • You are passionate about climate tech, startups, venture creation and capital. You are familiar with the key trends and relevant ecosystems.
  • You want to develop, or have an existing knowledge of key documentation used in early stage startup analysis (e.g. pitch decks, spreadsheet models, market maps, etc)
  • You have a passion for learning about the many specialist fields involved in climate tech.
  • You are naturally inquisitive and curious, anchor on the right concepts quickly, and go deep enough to surface non-obvious insights.
  • You are a great communicator, across writing, deck building and presenting. You enjoy summarising complex information into concise, rigorous and convincing material.
  • You make things happen. You are outcome focused, action oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity. You can pick up tasks and projects from start to finish.
  • You actively seek ownership. You are comfortable defining your own goals and enjoy working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are familiar with modern tools: Slack, Notion, Airtable, Zapier, office, etc.
  • You are a people person. You are approachable, empathetic and generous, with a high level of emotional intelligence. People feel energised around you.
  • You are a pragmatic optimist with a driving motivation to mitigate climate change.

What We Offer

  • €1,500 monthly internship stipend
  • Office in central Paris.
  • 1 week off in December during the office Christmas shut down
  • Meal vouchers (Swile), 50% transport refund
  • Exposure to our network of top founders, investors, and advisors
  • Working with the brightest, most driven individuals you’ll meet
