The role

As a Sales Engineer, you will be an integral part of our sales team, working closely with the VP Sales and the Commercial team to drive our sales efforts and build lasting relationships with our clients. This role is perfect for a technically minded individual with a passion for customer interaction and a keen interest in the engineering aspects of our solutions.

Your primary responsibilities will be to maintain and strengthen relationships with both existing and potential customers. You will be actively involved in following up on sales opportunities, and serve as an advisor to our clients, offering expert guidance on the selection of solutions that best meet their needs. Create proposals in collaboration with the team, and present our products and solutions in a compelling and convincing manner, demonstrating their value and benefits to our clients.

The world is our market, so the ability to travel internationally, work across different timezones and with different cultures is an important part of the job. You will also be expected to represent ECOnnect at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events. Your ability to communicate effectively and build relationships will be key to your success in this role.

 

Who You Are

You have a technical education and background, i.e Process Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. You may be a recent graduate or have up to three years of experience in sales/technical sales. Regardless of your experience level, you bring a solid understanding of technical concepts and a desire to apply this knowledge in a customer-focused role.

Well versed in AutoCAD and experience/education within one or more of the following areas - Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Oceanography, Sea Loads, Marine Dynamics, and Hydrostatics.

As a person, you are structured, humble, and motivated by results. You thrive in a varied work environment where you can take responsibility for planning, prioritizing, and executing your activities. You are approachable, with strong business acumen and a customer-centric mindset.
