Ready to join a team that's reshaping how we think about food and farming?

We're Seasony, a dynamic team leading the charge in robotics automation technology for vertical farms. We’re on the lookout for a recently graduated engineer to take the reins of the deployment of our Watney autonomous mobile robots with our customer in Norway - starting as soon as possible.

About Seasony:

We're not just any robotics start-up. At Seasony, we're pioneering the future of indoor farming - making it more profitable, scalable, and sustainable. Our flagship product, the autonomous mobile robot "Watney," is the first of its kind for vertical farms and aims to change the paradigm for automation on vertical farms. We are based in Copenhagen, with customers and partners across the globe.

Here's where you come in:

As our Robotics Engineer, you'll be the driving force for the installation, configuration, deployment and service of software and hardware systems at a vertical farm in Moss, Norway – approximately 1 hour outside Oslo.

You will be based mainly at the vertical farm near Moss but work closely with our R&D and commercial teams and occasionally, or as needed travel to our offices in Copenhagen. Ideally you are based in the Oslo area, with the ability to commute to the Moss facility by car or public transport.

There are currently 2 Watney robots physically at the facility in ongoing deployment that you will take over. It is an ongoing project with an existing codebase that has progressed significantly.

We're looking for someone who's experienced with robotics and passionate about working hands-on with the robots in the field.

The position is initially a 1-year fixed-term contract, starting as soon as possible with good possibilities for extension.

What You'll Do:

  • Be primary responsible for the finalization of the deployment process at the vertical farm near Moss and in time other customer sites.

  • Improve existing codebase, test and deploy on the robots

  • Test new functionality and features from R&D on the robots in the field

  • Monitor the health of the robots (mechanically and electrically) and develop health assessment plans and reports

  • Do simple mechanical repair and replacements on the robots, with guidance from team

  • Pro-active communication with rest of Seasony team

  • Prepare and participate in account meetings with our CEO and the ONNA Greens representatives.

  • Improve or design safety and maintenance procedures for the site

  • Maintain a structured test and deployment plan and documentation framework

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience with ROS / ROS2

  • Experience with robotics, ideally with mobile robots

  • Experience with OOP languages ideally C++ or Python

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools

  • Ability to work independently

  • Willingness to travel internationally

What We Offer:

  • Be part of an exciting Ag-tech robotics startup in the emerging industry of vertical farming.

  • Involve yourself in the full product cycle, from the drawing board to real-world application.

  • Build real, tangible products that make a difference.

  • Embrace quick, test-driven development cycles.

  • Get travel opportunities to global locations.

  • Take on responsibilities from day one and make impactful decisions on software architecture and design.

  • A collaborative and flexible workspace.

  • Get your hands dirty working on real industrial automation running on the latest and greatest in software and hardware

So, are you ready to help us grow the future of food? We can't wait to meet you! Join us at Seasony and be a part of something truly special.
