Senior HW / Embedded Engineer

As a Senior Embedded Engineer at VitalThings, you will work at the core of our Somnofy devices - the inside of the box. Primarily FW programming is expected, but also a good understanding of electrical design is required. You might not do the PCB design, but you do understand it, the components, and how to bring it all to life in our micros. 

We are looking for a strong engineer who can work quickly on a small team to have significant ownership in our embedded codebase and architecture. 

Who you are

• 4+ years of engineering experience. You’re a strong engineer comfortable working across multiple platforms and environments.
• Strong engineering fundamentals
• Highly fluent in C and C++
• Experience from hardware near architecture design and implementation
• Experience from processing heavy / DSP implementation 
• Signal processing development experience is a plus
• Developing support tools in Python is no problem for you
• Familiarity with data structures and algorithms, profiling and optimization
• Experience in working with real-time embedded systems (soft RT sufficient)
• You are structured and quality driven, but even more so pragmatic and determined to solve problems
