The Process of Live Streaming From Gjøvik

Mediasite live streaming

Step 1. Get the right room - You have to get the right room for the course, remember to add the technical requirements for the room e.g filming of lectures. There are a limited amount of rooms that can be used for live streaming which is listed below (might be outdated).

Step 2. Contact multimediesenteret - After you have gotten the right room you will have to contact multimediesenteret and schedule a meeting where you discuss which times the live streaming should start and how it is supposed to be saved. This should be done as fast as possible and at least 4 work weeks prior to when the live streaming is supposed to start.

Step 3. Do a test run - Schedule a test run of the live streaming to get a understanding of how it will work prior to actually holding a lecture.

Step 4. Share the link - Share the link to the viewers and hold the lecture.

EL5EL-bygget300Autotrack camera, double screen recording, micropgoneThe camera will automatically follow the lecturer and show the blackboard, in addition to let the students view an extra screen which shows the lecture's computer screen (most commonly, the lecture slides) in high quality.

The room is quite big, so a static camera cannot be used. Instead, paid students manually control the camera view. Also, because of the size of the room, the slides will not be shown simultaneously if the camera is focusing on the blackboard and lecturer.

Does not have the double screen option.

Previous recordings has turned quite dark.
