Kort beskrivelse av oppgaven:
The objective of this work is to carry out a life cycle assessment (LCA) comparison of different types of vacuum insulation panels (VIP) with respect to various types of foil laminates and core materials, also taking into account the increase of the crucial property thermal conductivity over time due to moisture and air penetration by diffusion, including other thermal insulation materials and solutions. This work will be written as a scientific journal article. Our research group has carried out a considerably amount of work within this and related fields the last years, and we see a strong need for an article treating specifically the matters the title is indicating. The specific details about this work task will be discussed with the interested students. This work wil be a follow-up of an earlier and successful project and MSc study on this topic. In addition, depending on the students' interests, these aspects may also be investigated alongside life cycle cost (LCC) studies. This work will be suitable for 1-3 students.
