Can Bus:

  • Twisted Pair with a 120 Ohm resistor to terminate. It stabilizes the voltage and lessens external noise.

DeviceNet:

  • Has a set standard, three types of cables: Thick Round Cable, Thin Round Cable and Flat Cable
  • There is standard for how long each branch from the main cable can be and how long they can be combined, this is drop length and cumulative drop length
  • Connectors used are screw, mini and micro connector
