Vattenfall is developing a site at Korsnäs in Finland for offshore wind. To investigate the ice conditions, they have installed rigs with upward looking sonars enabling measurements of ice parameters such as ice thickness, ice concentration, ice ridge size and frequency. The first season of data (2024) will be available for a project and master thesis.
