Data from HSI

  • EMSC
    • Provide a library of a certain spectra that we expect in the data. Tries to find the contribution from each know spectra in a dataset. Decomposes the signal into mean and scaling of different spectra. Can include linear effects, quadratic or cubic effects too. 
    • Will be implemented in the PL processor (question)
    • Can be looked at as "smart binning", since we are looking for things we know are interesting. 
    • Biologists are interested in raw data?

Hardware

  • Prototypes
    • 3D-printet housings are here!
    • Optics is ordered 
    • Dimentions are now know and will be further discussed with Fred soon
    • Electronics are on hold for a while (exams, getting more info)
  • Camera calibration
    • Unknown User (sivertba): Working on calibrations for the HSI. Will be done with some procedures during the thesis due before xmas. 
  • Reference VIS-camera? 
    • Include NUTS in these discussions
  • Include SDR on first flight?
    • Complementary payload if so; not interfere with the HSI-part

Software

  • Bitwidth for loadings and data need to be established 
    • Not desided upon yet. Joao and Milica is looking into it. 
  • Speed and power consumption
    • Need a lot of parameters. Number of cores, speed and more in order to estimate. Can use Zilix power estimate tool? These numbers are not really ready, and will also rely on Idletecs' part.

Testing

  • Testing on drones or balloons?
    • Need to fly over water to get relevant data --> to see/verify if we see the expected signatures from the water. 
    • Different versions of the camera have to be tested on different altitudes
    • Test the slewing maneuvering can be an test element
    • Testing in spring, when Mariusz is over there?
    • Bigger SLR-gimbal in a small aircraft
