Academic staff
Permanent academic staff involved in research, education and administration in the Waterpower Laboratory.
Laboratory engineer and technician
Permanent engineer and technicians working in the Waterpower Laboratory and helping out day-to-day research activities in the laboratory. The technicians are strongly involved in the experimental work, including, preparing test rig, instrumentation, calibration, machining, welding, 3D printing, design, operating test rig, risk assessment, safety and security. The engineers and technicians are the backbone of the research activities in the laboratory, where majority of the projects are experimental research type and it requires huge effort to build and prepare the test facility withing timeframe.
Postdoctoral Fellows
Postdoctoral Fellows involved in on-going research projects in the Waterpower Laboratory. Postdoctoral Fellows often work in a group of PhD candidates and MSc students in the laboratory. Their main task is to conduct research, communication and dissemination of scientific results in the corresponding project.
PhD candidates
The PhD candidates directly work in the allocated research project under the supervision of the permanent academic staff. The PhD candidates work in a group and carry out research activities. They also supervise the MSc students working in the similar project. Primarily, the PhD candidates work in the pre-allocated activities in the corresponding research project. The PhD thesis of the candidate is available at the publication page after the successful defense.
NVKS and FME RenewHydro
Administration for the NVKS and FME RenewHydro is located in the Waterpower Laboratory. Administrative staff working in the center have permanent place in the laboratory.
Visiting researchers and staff
Visiting researchers, professors, other scientific staff, who have direct affiliation and working in the Waterpower Laboratory.
MSc students
Several students write master's thesis in the Waterpower Laboratory and they are directly involved in the on-going research activities. The following list indicates the students writing master thesis during the current academic year. The student, who successfully pass the thesis work and external evaluation is completed, will appear on the publication page.
