Information requiremens:

LoRa

For a LoRa unit to connect to the internet it requires a gateway. The closest gateway to Ålesund is currently in Molde.

The price of a new gateway would probably be in the vicinity of 1100 kr. The range of the LoRa gateway will be dependent on positioning, line of sight, antenna performance and bitrate.

Assessment

NrFactCommentAssumptionAssessmentConclusion
1The range of the LoRa gateway will be dependent on positioning, line of sight, antenna performance and bitrate. There are no LoRa units in the vicinity of Ålesund.
It is likely that the LoRa device will have an estimated range of 7 kilometers.
