Oppgave nr: BM7

Kort beskrivelse av oppgaven:

The student(s) will work together with research scientists within the EU Horizon 2020 (H2020) project PVadapt (Prefabricaton, Recyclability and Modularity for Cost Reductions in Smart BIPV Systems). In PVadapt we will employ a novel and automated modular PV production line with the capacity to include various material components and processes. We will produce modules costing below 35 €ct/W. Moreover, we will utilize the production line to integrate a heat pipe based cooling and heat recovery component, the heat mat (HM) to provide 60-100 % of the building’s heating needs. The prefabricated and modular architecture of the PVadapt components will enable the production of turn-key BIPV solutions with levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) values below 3 €ct/kWh and module price below 1.5 €/W & 150 €/m2. The student(s) will work with relevant challenges regarding the BIPV system, the solar thermal system and/or the complete BIPVT system. Examples of research tasks may include miscellaneous modelling tasks (e.g. heat transport), development design and evaluation of system, overall system performance testing (e.g. by field and/or laboratory testing), strength of adhesive connection between heat mat and solar cell module, safety issues, robustness and integration aspects, climate exposure laboratory testing, and accelerated climate ageing laboratory testing, where various conditions and parameters will be investigated. The students may work in a team with their own defined separate work tasks they are responsible for or in more individual work tasks. Specific and tailor-made work tasks will be discussed and assigned in a meeting between the students and the supervisors.
