What is the bug?

The problem comes (from our experience) when simply downloading GLview from NTNU Software. After the installation is complete, and the license file made, some of the necessary documents containing tutorials and user guides are missing. This results in the an error with the help section within GLview.

How can I check if I have the bug?

The simplest way to see if you have the bug is to try to open the help section within GLview.

If you are unsuccessfull in opening the help section, and get the error message shown below, you probably have the bug.

How can I fix it?

  1. Locate the folder "Doc" within you your GLview folder, often at C:\Program Files\Ceetron\GLview Inova (64 bit). This is the folder that is incomplete, and we will therefore switch it with a correct version.

  2. Move the chosen folder "Doc" to a new location of your choice and rename it "Incomplete doc GLview". This is to make sure we don't confuse it with the correct version, while still beeing able to switch back at a later stage if needed.

  3. The next step is to download and uncompress the correct version of "Doc", found here: Doc.zip. Once this is done, move it into the GLview folder where we found the first "Doc" folder.

  4. The problem is now fixed! To watch the results, restart GLview and try the "Help" help section once again. A window similar to the one below should then open.
