Holiday
- Employees at NTNU have the right, and are also obligated, to take holiday with pay, maximally 25 work days (30 work days if older than 60 years). The obligation applies regardless of the basis for holiday has been earned at NTNU or with another employer during the preceding calendar year. Everyone HAVE TO register holiday in Paga

Insurance and Pension

- Occupational injury insurance in the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund (Statens pensjonskasse) applies to all employees at NTNU. This means that you have a statutory right to compensation if you sustain a work-related injury or illness
- The group life insurance scheme is not included in the rights of members of the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund, but it is part of the pay conditions for employees who are covered by the Basic Collective Agreement in the State. This means that the scheme applies to virtually all State employees, including temporary staff and part-time employees who have regular weekly working hours. The size of the insurance payment is linked to the basic amount (G) of the National Insurance Scheme (Norwegian):
- Employees of the State are covered by occupational injury insurance during work-related travel in Norway (link in Norwegian) for the time during which they perform work on the journey. But we do urge you to also have a personal travel insurance for your own safety.

- Remember to keep your personal information up to data in Paga; i.e. bank account number, andressadress, spuse spouse and children. You can manage this yourself in Paga: Min mappe - nytt skjema - Person og familieinformasjon - Ny verdi on what you wish to change - Send. This is in Norwegian, so please do not hesitate to ask if you run into any sort of trouble.
Economic advantages
- The Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund (in Norwegian only) offers mortgage loans to all state employees (this means you, if you have a job at NTNU).
- Permanent and temporary NTNU employees can apply for a credit card. This card is your personal card, but offers benefits that are negotiated by NTNU.

- NTNU owns a mountain hut in Kongsvoll, in the Dovre Mountains. A number of other departments or groups may also offer mountain huts to their employees, but you must check with your division to find out more.
