This page will be a resource for people who are planning to stream lectures across campuses. The main contacts for this is Multimediesenteret and AV-Tjenesten: https://www.ntnu.no/mms-av

TL;DR AV-Tjenesten has nothing to do with livestreaming

  • AV-Tjenesten help with and lend out equipment for lecture rooms and acts more like tech support when there is faulty/missing equipments (Mainly for Gløshaugen and Dragvoll, the other campuses have local people who are responsible for the rooms).

TL;DR Multimediesenteret is the place you want to contact about livestreaming

  • Multimediesenteret is the main actor that will help you set up live streaming and recording of lectures.
    • Multimediesenteret help mainly with requests for courses which give credits, requests like(https://innsida.ntnu.no/wiki/-/wiki/Norsk/Videoopptak):
      • Recording of lectures (is being phased out)
      • Recording of learning material for courses - Short resources for students about specific subjects or lab experiments or animations.
      • Have a studio to produce high quality video
      • Have videoconference rooms
      • Can help you record on your own computer
      • Can help record field experiements
      • Dabble in editing and trying out new technologies for creating interactive videos
      • They film events on requests
    • The process is to fill out a form of contact at least 4 work weeks in advance of the actual recording (the sooner the better)
    • Everything is free for courses as long as it is within normal work hours(more info here: https://innsida.ntnu.no/wiki/-/wiki/Norsk/Prisliste+ved+MMS-AV)

NOTE: Streaming through "Mediasite" the video platform used by mutlimediesenteret has a 30 sec delay.
