Other Marine Engineering Software
The Internet is full of useful software, but not everything is described at this page. This is a list of software tools that might be of interest to the marine engineer, but we have not found time to test them and write about it here.
4Subsea has a collection of tools that are free for everyone to download. The tools include both a batch system and post-processor for Riflex.
Those interested in the field of marine cybernetics should look at the Marine System Simulator.
The book “Computational Fluid Dynamics: Principles and Applications” by J. Blazek contains a CD-ROM with several simple CFD codes and grid generators. The source code is GPL-licences, and can be downloaded, or you can borrow the book at the MTS library. The book is also available as e-book if you are connected to the university network.
