About GeniE

GeniE is a tool for concept (high level geometry) modelling of beams, flat plates and stiffened shells. Load modelling includes equipment (with automatic load transfer), explicit loads, wind loads and generation of compartments in floating structures.

GeniE is a part of the Sesam Software Package. You can read more about GeniE at DNV GL's website.

    • DNV GL have provided quite good training exercises as a part of the GeniE installation. These can be accessed within GeniE from "Help → Help Topics". Scoll down the left menu, and click "Tutorials - Example Index". Working through the first 3 examples takes about one day, and this will introduce you to most of the basics of GeniE.Some examples can also be found at our page Examples Sesam..
