Overview: 

Blockchains run on networks. With data stored and processed across the network, a blockchain eliminates the risks that centrally holding and processing data will bring. In addition, in the coming universal service of 5G, blockchains are likely to be a core element. However, the impact and needed support of networking on blockchains has been little investigated, and the current blockchain technology is far from meeting the service quality objectives of 5G, e.g., 5 ms end-to-end delay, five nines for reliability and availability, and millions of simultaneous users of the service.
