The conferences were a ground breaking step for identifying, extracting and synthesising the learning from previous EC funded projects. Conference partners and participants shared their understanding of inquiry-based learning and discussed meaningful dissemination and implementation strategies. The conferences contributed promoting European co-operation amongst different stakeholders, especially amongst the national workgroups. The conferences also helped to spread INSTEM results to a broader community, in particular also to countries not involved in Instem: Connections to important stakeholders across Europe have been established.

1st Conference Report

The first INSTEM conference was held in Amsterdam on March 19-20, 2013. It was organized by the project coordinator, University of Education Freiburg, Germany. The conference agenda was developed during the first consortium meeting in Innsbruck. In addition a Skype conference involving the work package leaders was organized by the coordinator for the same purpose on February 25th, 2013.

2nd Conference Report

The second INSTEM conference was a three-day event that took place on March 25-27, 2014, in Halle (Saale), Germany. It was organized by the INSTEM partners at the Martin-Luther-University in Halle as well as the project coordinator, University of Education Freiburg, Germany.

3rd Conference Report

From June 17th to 18th Freiburg (Breisgau, Germany) was host to the third international INSTEM conference. 95 participants representing various fields of education came together to share knowledge and experience gained in educational projects....
