Now that you have seen the menus, you are ready to start creating content in Confluence. Let's begin by adding a new space:

  1. Right-click the 'Dashboard' link at the top of your screen, and open the link in a new browser window.
  2. Your Confluence Dashboard appears. At the left of the screen is a list of spaces. Click the 'Create a space' link, located below the list.
  3. The 'Create Space' screen appears.
  4. In the 'Enter a Space Name' box, type... TO BE COMPLETED
  5. In the 'Enter a Space Key' box, type... TO BE COMPLETED
  6. Under 'Who can use this space', all the boxes are ticked. You don't need to change anything at this time.

  7. Under 'Choose Theme', the 'Default Theme' is selected. You can either use the Default Theme, or select one of the others.

  8. Click the 'OK' button, located at the bottom of the screen.
  9. The homepage of your new space appears.
