There are two ways to charge the Pioneer LX:
- EasyQuick: slide the robot onto it's charging platform. The charging indicator LED on the charging station unfortunately does not work. Don't push the robot to far into the charging station. If the robot is off, it should turn on when it is charging. It cannot be turned of while charging.
- Slower; Connect Difficult: connect the cable from the charging platform directly to the Pioneer LX's battery
The charging platform has an issue with the charging indicator light, which will not always light up.
Checking the battery level
The back panel on the Pioneer LX is held in place by magnets and can be pulled off. Insider and at the top you will see 4 some LEDs, Press the small button next to these LEDs to see the robots battery level. The battery level can also be viewed withn MobileEyes and is also availible in ROS.
