{table-cell:class=sidespalterTd1}S-TEAM is running a substantial mid-project conference on the 14th and 15th of October 2010). This conference will be held in Glasgow, at the Barony, a converted church now owned by the University of  Strathclyde.   The purpose of the conference is to summarise where we are with S-TEAM and what is the state of the art of inquiry-based science within Europe.  It will be primarily about the interface between policy and practice. We will be inviting other projects, such as ESTABLISH and Fibonacci, to attend in order to share their experience of working with IBST. We will also be inviting teachers from different partner countries, to engage in dialogue about the best ways of taking IBST forward into the classroom.

Contacts: [bard.li@svt.ntnu.no|Bard Li] at NTNU in Trondheim will be keeping track of participants, so he should be informed of your room requirements and flight details. !Barony.jpg|align=right,width=223,height=335!

The conference is intended to bring together policymakers and projects in the area of inquiry-based science education.
The event is also important for us since the EC will be conducting a technical review of S-TEAM at that time, and will therefore want the event to be a success. We will have finished products at that time and will want to advertise them.

At this stage a draft programme is being compiled by the organising committee.  We are looking for suggestions for

1) Panel members for a session looking at "inquiry in practice, inquiry in policy"

2) A High-profile speaker, probably a politician or high-level official from the EC
