A small family, which consists only of 1 genus and 3
species (until 2002). This genus was originally placed in the Ischnuridae,
and was recently elevated to family status. Both species in
the family are endemic to Madagascar (Africa).
Scorpions in this family are probably not kept in
captivity.
No data have been found, but the scorpions in this family
are probably not medically important.
