INTERNATIONAL MASTER’S
PROGRAMMES
The preliminary application deadline to
an international master’s degree is 1
December in the year prior to admission
for both self-financed applicants and
applicants under the Quota-scheme
(please note that the preliminary
application is mandatory).
The final application deadline is 1
February for all applicants with a first
degree from countries outside the Nordic

The application deadline for applicants
with Norwegian/Nordic higher education
is 15 April in the year of admission.
These applicants should not fill in
the application form for international
applicants, but should apply via NTNU’s
søknadsweb/application web: www.ntnu.
no/studier/soknadsweb. Please contact
the Admissions Office (opptak
@
adm.
ntnu.no) if you need assistance.
Exemptions: Different deadlines may
apply to the Nordic Master of Arts
in Dance Studies and the Master of
Fine Arts, please see their respective
websites for admission requirements
and deadlines.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
International applicants should
document either a TOEFL test with a
minimum score of 600 for the paper-
based test or 90 for the internet-based
test or an IELTS test score of minimum
6.5. The English language requirements
are the same for all our international
master’s programmes. For updated and
