ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND
APPLICATION DEADLINE: see page 1.
THE STUDy PROGRAMME
During the first two semesters, the
students learn the main processes of
Project Management. The third
semester is used to specialise in a
certain field of project management,
and in the fourth semester the students
write their master’s thesis. Students
from the five-year Master of Science
in engineering programmes may
take Project Management courses
as a specialisation in their own study
programme
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
MSPROMAN
MSPROMAN is a 2-year master‘s
programme which requires applicants
to have completed a Bachelor of Engi-
neering, preferably in civil, mechanical
or industrial engineering. Three to five
years of work experience is valued but
not required for admission
STUDy ENvIRONMENT
We aspire to create a study programme
with a truly international ambience. Our
student body consists of Norwegian
and international students as well as
exchange students from our partner
universities in Germany, France and
Spain. This multicultural environment
gives our students an insight into how
problems are handled in other cultures
and encourages academic discussion
in English. For those who want to
further broaden their horizons, we have
exchange programmes which allow
students to take their second semester
abroad.
ADvANTAGES
The study programme is developed in
cooperation with Norwegian companies
seeking project management compe-
tence. The participating companies
often suggest projects and problem
areas for the third semester project
and the master’s thesis. The Master of
Science in Project Management is part
of a European programme to develop
the European Master of Project
Management. All project management
programmes at the participating
universities are fully compatible, and
this faciliates exchanges.
In today’s society projects play a significant, if not outright
dominating, role value in innovation, value creation and welfare
development. Finding the Higgs-boson, developing new drugs,
building a new school or changing an organization are all
examples of endeavours organized as projects. However, only
25% of all projects fulfil all of their objectives. At the other end,
25% are such failures that they are terminated or should have
been terminated.
"I have a goal, and I want to know how to reach it,"
one of our former students said. The Master of Science in
Project Management teaches future managers to assess the
potential of projects, to make them cost effective and improve
their success rate.
