On July 22nd 2011 there was an attack on Norwegian
nature, the nature of freedom of speech and democracy
We can learn from how other countries coped with their
tragedies through memorials. Which signals are impor
tant to project and which instruments could one use in
order to attain them?
Memorials have developed from purely names on platte
to experiences that tell a story. How can we as architect
design a space for commemoration and storytelling?
