Request for access to the facilities at the TEM Gemini Centre

To find the best approach for studying your materials in the TEM and make optimal use of the time at the microscope, please fill in this form as detailed as possible.
Before filling in the form, make sure to read the considerations for access to the facilities

The decision regarding access will depend on the supplied information and the capacity of instruments and personnel within the TEM Gemini Centre. We will contact you as soon as we have evaluated your request. In case access is granted, the assigned trainer/operator will contact you to discuss your study in detail and booking of TEM and to inform you about the costs and discuss the details of funding. Short project description (overall research goals)
Scientific description of TEM experiments and expected results/outcome. Relevant literature of similar experiments is useful.
Description of materials/specimens, including magnetism, toxicity or other HSE issues. Describe existing knowledge on own materials (previous TEM, XRD, SEM etc).
Name and role of all people who will be involved in the TEM part of the project (to be trained, as a supervisor, as a contact person to the TEM operator, to do specimen preparation, data analysis and other)
Expected extent of TEM analysis (no. of specimens, hours, years or other)
Description of TEM specimen preparation method or need for access to preparation facilities and/or operator time to prepare specimens or guidance in the process.
