The future of gas
Norway is a country rich in gas resources and an important supplier to the international energy market. The changes in the international energy market implies both challenges and opportunities. How can gas provide energy security in the global energy market? What are the research needs?
The Norwegian Gas Technology Center NTNU-SINTEF (GTS) will organize a one-day scientific conference on December 5th 2016. This year it brings on board key actors from Norway, EU and industry. The conference’s overall objective will be to identify and discuss the role of gas in the future international energy market. To do so, the conference will focus on fundamental and applied gas technology research and development by showcasing the latest work at R&D institutions, universities and industries throughout the world.
Conference topics:
- Offshore and subsea processing and conditioning
- Gas transport from remote areas
- LNG and FLNG technologies
- Gas value chain – optimization and analyses, health and environmental impact
- Hydrogen production from fossil fuel sources with CCS
Confirmed keynote speakers:
- Frode Leversund, CEO, Gassco
- Anders Marvik, Vice President, Statoil’s EU Affairs Office in Brussels
- Morten Anker, Deputy Director General, Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy
