This autumn I will be part of a training course with the Svalbard Integrated Arctic Earth Observing System (SIOS). The course will be about how to use drones for scientific purposes specifically in Svalbard.  It is intended to give researchers who have not worked with drones before an introduction in how to conduct drone-based fieldwork in Svalbard.

  • Location: Longyearbyen, Svalbard
  • Application deadline: 15 April 2023
  • There are no course fees. Participants must cover their own expenses on travel and accommodation in Longyearbyen. There are some grants available for SIOS member institutions.
