Project focus:
Transition to adulthood for youths with a background from Norwegian child welfare services.
Aim of the project:
The project aims at giving a greater understanding of how the transition from care to independent adulthood is for youths with a background from child welfare services, and what can increase positive outcomes for this group. Further, it aims at exploring spatial and socio-economic patterns in this transitions.
Preliminary research questions:
- How does the propensity of receiving aftercare relate to socio-economic background of youths in care.
- How does place affect educational pathways for youths with a background from care.
