Min forskning dekker temaer i skjæringspunktet mellom språkfilosofi og filosofisk metode, med tilknytning til områder som sinnsfilosofi, sosialfilosofi, kritisk raseteori og feministisk teori, sosialpsykologi, metafysikk og, nylig, reproduksjonsetikk.

Jeg er særlig interessert i conceptual engineering og etikk, samt de etiske og politiske dimensjonene ved språk. Dette inkluderer arbeid om generiske utsagn, pragmatisk kommunikasjon, terminologiske og verbale uenigheter (disputes), metalingvistiske forhandlinger (negotiations), debunking i metaetikk, pejorativer, direkte referanse, og singular tanke.

Nylig har jeg utvidet fokus til spørsmål om politisk manipulasjon, diskriminering, bias og stereotyper, spesielt knyttet til generiske utsagn, dogwhistles og (rasistiske) «figleaves» i kontekster med plausibel benektelse, både i menneskelig og AI-generert kommunikasjon.

Jeg er også i økende grad interessert i de etiske og begrepsmessige utfordringene som oppstår med nye teknologier, som generativ AI og kunstige livmorer.
