Martin Damrath er en postdoktor ved Instituttet for elektroniske systemer, NTNU og Intervensjonssenteret, Oslo universitetssykehus med ekspertise innen molekylær kommunikasjon. Hans forskningsinteresse er å anvende kommunikasjonstekniske tilnærminger for å utvikle modeller og teorier for biologiske kommunikasjonssystemer som skal føre til banebrytende terapeutiske og diagnostiske intervensjoner.
Forskning
Next-generation Theranostics of Brain Pathologies with Autonomous Externally Controllable Nanonetworks: A Trans-disciplinary Approach with Bio-nanodevice Interfaces (GLADIATOR)
GLADIATOR provides a working prototype of a complete and autonomous molecular communication system based on the conceptual framework of Externally Controllable Molecular Communications (ECMC), using Glioblastoma Multiforme tumors as a casestudy.
Communication Theoretical Foundation of Wireless Nanonetworks (CIRCLE)
CIRCLE designs biological cells that can transmit information to neighboring cells and cells placed far away. The developed engineered cells are tested in cell and organoid cultures with imaging tools.
