Thesis project
The goal of my PhD is enabling the local production of viral diagnostic enzymes in low-resource environments.
Background
In parallel to my Master in Biomolecular Engineering I also hold a Master in Energy Science and Engineering, both from TU Darmstadt (Germany). During my Bachelor and Master in Biomolecular Engineering I focussed on microbiology and metabolic engineering. For my master thesis I combined this with my interest for renewable energy sources, researching ways to synthesize biofuel from waste using yeast.
