Ida Nilstad Pettersen
Om
Jeg er professor i design for sustainability transitions (transition design) ved Institutt for design, og koordinerer instituttets strategiske satsingsområde design for bærekraft.
Forskningen min handler om forholdet mellom design, praksiser i hverdagen og samfunnsendring, og designs rolle i klima- og miljørelatert omstilling. Jeg har ph.d. (2013) i design for bærekraft. De siste årene har jeg fokusert spesielt på forbruk (f.eks. bruk av energi og materialer, sirkulærøkonomi), byutvikling og bynatur, og tema som inkludering, samskaping og eksperimenterende utforsking av menneske-naturrelasjoner, mulige fremtider og alternative måter å leve og jobbe på.
Jeg har jobbet med disse temaene i tverrfaglige EU- og NFR-prosjekter, i samarbeid med aktører fra ulike sektorer, i veiledning av ph.d.- og masterprosjekter og i undervisning. Jeg har tidligere vært nestleder ved instituttet og programleder for ph.d.-programmet i design (PHDESIG).
