Forskning
Jeg forsker på bærekraftsanalyse av urbane systemer. Det jeg er spesielt interessert i er det som kalles avveininger (trade-off) og tilbakeslagseffekter (rebound). Dette handler om at når vi reduserer utslipp på et sted, kan de øke på et annet hvis vi ikke er oppmerksomme. Slike systemiske effekter har politiske følger, og jeg forsøker å gi råd om miljøpolitikk som tar hensyn til helhetsbildet. Mine hovedmetoder for analyse er livssyklusanalyse og såkalt kryssløpsanalyse (EE IO). Jeg jobber for øyeblikket med følgende temaer: sirkulær økonomi, karbonfangst og lagring, samt forbruksatferd og miljøpåvirkning i sammenheng med bygde miljøer.
